I was commissioned by the Midwest Tomato Fest, via The Social Lights, to create a shirt design that accurately depicted the nature and personality of their event (in its first year). The event was slotted to include an abundance of food, beer, music and of course, tomatoes. This dangerous combination of awesome culminated in what looks like . Holy.

A tight deadline meant we needed to move quickly. What resulted  was simple concept and simple execution — “Get sauced.” This referenced the notion “Get sauced” by tomatoes…as well as “Get sauced” AKA drunk, hammered, bamboozled, schwasted, etc. The playful apparel garnered quite a bit of interest — hundreds of shirts sold in less than a week. Midwest Tomato Fest discovered an additional revenue stream, while simultaneously creating hundreds of walking advertisements. Saucy.
