Looking back on the last semester, the last year of my life… I’m floored by everything I’ve experienced. I’m floored by the friends and connections I’ve been lucky enough to make. By the kindness of people. By the effort of co-workers and the passion I’ve been exposed to (and consumed by).
And on that note? I’ve had so, so, so much good news lately. Seriously, wow.
I recently returned from an unbelievable adventure in New York. (props to @kareemy for hosting me, @adammcaron for inspiring me, and @kaitlynsoares for showing me the city)
Part of the NY trip was spent skyping in to The Intern Game…..which I won. I’m SO excited to be at Digitaria this summer (formerly JWT Mpls). The story was also featured on Agency Spy, very exciting. To read that click here.
Note: I rationalized my Brittney Spears choice by explaining the need to sometimes get one’s hands dirty in the UX biz. Also, I wish you could have seen the bewildered looks on many a Starbuck-goers faces when I juggled (see: attempted/failed to juggle) three salt shakers filled with chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Also also, my shirt is still slightly rust-colored and smells of cinnamon. But it was worth it.
My communications department scholarship was just randomly increased… they had extra money and hooked me up. Win.
I moved into a new apartment. (we’ve got a hot tub, whoa)
So many good things. And I’m glad to share them with good people.
Here are some photos from the trip:
Anyway, I’m feeling super blessed and super excited. I’ve got a huge support system that allows me much appreciated freedom — because knowing people have your back allows you to take risks, to push yourself further, without the fear of failure. I believe I’ll have even more exciting news to share soon, but I’ve got to grind out the final phases of a few projects.
Almost there….. be patient.
And have a fucking awesome week.
